    Rates and payment

    When it was introduced in spring 2025, the rate was €2.30 per hour during the day (07:00–22:00), €0.50 per hour at night and a maximum of €12.50 per 24 hours. Check the current rates and live availability at paanzee.nl. Payment is via a license plate scan at the entrance: you pay afterwards by card or credit card, cash is not possible. Advance booking is available via paanzee.nl.

    Parking with a disabled parking permit

    There are 14 free spaces close to the beach: 7 spaces with a disabled parking permit and parking disc for a maximum of 3 hours, and 7 spaces that may be used all day with a permit. From 1 November through 14 March, 7 of these spaces are released for everyone, with a parking disc.

    Free alternatives in the village

    A blue zone (max. 2 hours, Mon–Sat 08:00–18:00) applies in the centre of Castricum. Unlimited free parking is available at Geesterduin shopping centre, at De Brink and behind the station, from there it's ±10 minutes cycling to the beach. The bicycle and scooter storage in front of the beach plateau is free.

    On hot days the car park can fill up. Check the live occupancy at paanzee.nl first, or leave the car at home: take the train plus the free Kustbus in summer, or an OV-bike from the station. Want to charge an electric car? Check in advance. The nearest reliable charging points are in Bakkum and in the centre of Castricum.
